International Payments

International is the default, not an add-on.

Bill in your client's currency, let them read the invoice in their own language, and hand their bank the exact fields their country needs — without leaving your usual workflow.

Why it's hard

Getting paid across a border shouldn't be this much work.

  • Every country's bank wants different fields

IBAN and SWIFT for a European wire, a CLABE for Mexico, a sort code for the UK, a routing number for the US — chasing the right fields for each client slows down getting paid.

  • The invoice doesn't read like it was made for them

An invoice, payment page, or PDF that only appears in English is a small thing to a client abroad, but it still reads as generic rather than built for the relationship.

  • Tax and registration fields go missing

Cross-border invoices often need a VAT or company registration number to be valid, or reclaimable, on the client’s side — fields a domestic-first tool leaves out.

  • No visibility once it’s sent

Across a time zone or two, you’re often just waiting — with no signal on whether the invoice was even opened, let alone paid.

Supported payment workflows

However the client wants to pay, it's on the same invoice.

Card, via Stripe Checkout

A client pays by card on a hosted Stripe Checkout page — live, immediate, and reconciled automatically.

Bank transfer, with the right fields

Region-correct bank-transfer details sit on the same payment page. The client transfers directly; the business marks it paid once it lands.

Cash or check

For clients who pay in person or by check, the business records the payment manually, with a note and a paid status.

How SimplePayment simplifies it

Built so a cross-border invoice reads like a local one.

Multi-currency, per invoice

Each invoice carries its own currency — bill a client in the currency they actually think and budget in. Included on the Solo and Team plans.

Five-language client experience

The payment page, PDF, and email a client receives read in English, Spanish, French, German, or Portuguese.

Localized bank-transfer fields

IBAN/SWIFT (Europe), CLABE (Mexico), sort code (UK), routing number (US), and branch code with CPF/CNPJ (Brazil) — the fields each country’s bank actually asks for.

Frozen at send time

The bank details a client sees are locked in the moment an invoice is sent or resent, so nothing changes on them after the fact.

Why it matters

A payment experience that feels local lowers hesitation.

A client is more comfortable handing over payment when the page reads in their language, shows their currency, and asks their bank for the fields it actually expects — instead of a generic form that clearly wasn't built with them in mind. That's the reasoning behind every localization choice on this page; it's not a promise about how fast any individual client will pay.

How pricing works

Keep more of every international payment.

SimplePayment doesn't add its own percentage or cross-border transaction markup. Your subscription covers the software. Currency conversion, card processing, and bank charges — when applicable — come from the provider handling the payment, such as Stripe or your bank.

Questions

Before you bill your first international client.

Does SimplePayment convert currencies for me?

No. Currency is set per invoice — you choose the currency you’re billing in. SimplePayment doesn’t perform foreign-exchange conversion or hold a multi-currency ledger.

Which plans include multi-currency invoicing?

Solo and Team. Free Forever bills in a single currency. Compare plans

Can I add more countries’ bank formats myself?

Today the supported formats are IBAN/SWIFT, CLABE, sort code, routing number, and branch code with CPF/CNPJ — plus general recipient, bank, and reference fields for anything else.

Is the whole product available in five languages, or just the invoice?

The client-facing experience — payment page, PDF, and email — supports five languages. The business-facing dashboard you use to create invoices is currently English and Spanish.

Can I change bank details on an invoice after I’ve sent it?

You can update your settings going forward, but an already-sent invoice keeps showing the bank details that were frozen at send time — so a client never sees information silently change underneath them.
