SimplePayment protects your password with modern hashing, but doesn’t currently offer two-factor authentication.
How your password is protected
Passwords are never stored in plain text — they’re hashed before being saved, so even SimplePayment staff can’t see your actual password.
Two-factor authentication
SimplePayment doesn’t currently offer two-factor authentication (2FA). Use a strong, unique password, and consider a password manager.
Signing in another way
If you’d rather not manage a separate password at all, you can sign up or sign in with Google instead — see Signing up or signing in with Google.
Important behavior and limitations
- Password reset links expire after 1 hour, and requesting a reset for an email that isn’t registered doesn’t reveal whether an account exists — see Resetting your password for the reset steps.
