You can offer bank transfer, cash, or check as payment options on an invoice, with instructions your client sees directly on the invoice page.

Steps

  1. When creating or editing an invoice, choose which manual payment methods to offer: bank transfer, cash, or check.
  2. Add the instructions your client needs — for example, your bank details for a transfer, or where to send a check.
  3. Send the invoice. Your client sees these instructions on the invoice page alongside any other payment options you’ve offered.

What happens next

Your client pays outside SimplePayment — at their bank, in person, or by mail. The invoice stays in Sent or Opened status until you record the payment yourself; see Recording a manual payment.

Important behavior and limitations

  • SimplePayment doesn’t process, verify, or move money for bank transfer, cash, or check payments — it only displays the instructions and tracks what you record.
  • Manual methods can be combined with Stripe card payment on the same invoice; your client picks whichever works for them.
  • There’s no automatic bank-feed matching — you confirm the payment yourself once it’s received.
